Configuring Windows XP Dial-up Connection

  • Click on Start -> Control Panel.
  • Now click on Network and Internet Connections.
  • Click Set up or change your Internet Connection.
  • On the Internet Properties Screen, click the ADD button.
  • Select Dial-up to private network and click Next.
  • In the phone number field, enter your local dial-up access number and click Next.
  • Name your new connection Trusted.net and click Next.
  • Now enter your username and password in the form of username@trusted.net and then click Properties.
  • Make sure your properties window looks like the following and then click OK.
  • You may now click OK on the Dialing Properties and you should be looking at the following:
  • If your Internet Properties screen looks like the above, you may click OK.
  • You may now close the Control Panel.

To Establish An Internet Connection

  • Click Start -> Connect To -> Trusted.net and the following will appear:
  • Click Dial and you will connect to GDEX Trusted Net
  • After a successful connection you're ready to go; you can start your web browser and surf.
